![]() If you impress them, your dead patient penalties are only half as bad for the rest of the year. Occasionally the regional judge will come by as a VIP to tour the hospital. You're free to set prices however you want (with the normal unhappiness driven refuse to pay mechanic still present) just know that the bigger your price, the bigger the penalty for a death is, when and if you kill someone. If you kill a patient (or their health runs out), you LOSE the amount of money you would have gained from a successful treatment. If you unsuccessfully treat a patient, but do not kill them, you get paid $0 regardless of how happy they were. Under this modifier, when you cure a patient you are paid normally. ![]() That would give Two Point Hospital extreme longevity and keep people enjoying it long after they've beaten the campaign, yet still keep the market for new DLC open as people would still likely buy DLC in order to get new hospital maps, new illnesses and new treatment rooms and objects.Įdit: For my take on a mechanic that might make for a fun challenge or sandbox mode modifier: Malpractice Lawsuits ![]() You could even incorporate a leader board (similar to the campaign levels) as well as a rating system where the community can curate specific levels to help the best bubble up to the top. I'm not saying it would create levels better or worse than the 6 that the studio has made, but focusing your efforts on expanding the tools would net everybody a much wider range of REMIX style levels. If you open the sandbox editor up, you'll find that the community at large will create a whole depository of REMIX levels. Let us toggle on special modifiers like public hospital, mission-based expansion or waves. Let us pick and choose individual illnesses and when they show up and how frequently. Secondly, I would like to see the Sandbox tools expanded to allow players to create some of the more involved mechanics that some of the scenarios and remix levels use. I understand that actually remixing each of the game's tunes to something new would probably not fit in the budget, but please do give us a toggle to turn on or off the REMIX music modifier. However, just globally speeding it up is not the way to do that. you want the traditional music to be different in the way that a remixed song is different from the original. The slightly sped-up music is unsettling. Taking old hospital layouts and breathing new life into them is a fine way to get more material into the game and offer players new challenges.
